The lady who was running the train was really good at spotting even the slightest discrepancy and she was on top of all the coloured people on the train making sure they had tickets, it was really nice to know that she wasnt taking even just a second to sit back and just let people relax. Anyway she deserved her 10p tip will definitely travel again and recommend to friends!!

At the 7:19pm train from Skegness drunk, with beer in hand, very loud British women are annoying. They terrorise all coach... Is it normal in UK? Strange. Thankfully they got off in Boston.

If you need an example of the neglect of Britain's railways, visit Skegness. This once busy terminus now gets one clapped-out train per hour while all its other platforms lie empty and old rails lie rusting on its approach. This might be interesting to look at, but sadly you can't, as access to the platforms not in use are prohibited by locked wooden gates. The wooden gate system is also used on the platforms that still receive trains, instead of a modern ticket barrier which would allow for quicker access. Facilities are limited and expensive given the proximity to local shops, and the local council have put a sign for "Skegness Interchange" outside, presumably for a laugh.

Nice, efficient station which handles large capacity crowds very well during the summertime rush to the beach scene. With the bus station next door, it makes connections to local and not-so-local attractions easy to get to.

Skegness Railway Station is nice with friendly service and assistance, toilets, caf ticket counter and machine, pick up area, covered, departures board, near to town shops, supermarkets and bus station; worth a visit - good for services to Grantham, Nottingham and national
