Stayed for one night over the Christmas period, very very comfy bed & warm room. Food great & the Crown team are very helpful, the refurb is going well and lots of the tired decor is being updated - but for the cost it is a very good place to stay & such good value for money
Fantastic Christmas Lunch - the best I have had away from home. Brilliant staff, so polite, very hardworking and saw to all of our needs. Food was delicious, hot and plenty of variety. We have also used this hotel a few times lately for lunch or evening meals and the consistancy is excellant. Well done to all the staff and thank you for a really lovely day.
We had a family room consisting of 1 double and 2 single beds very comfy rooms were all clean and tidy tea coffee facilities TV in both rooms bathroom was great bath with overhead shower and then a shower cubicleThe staff that we encountered were very helpful and friendlyWould stay here again
decor is a bit dated... dont let this put you off! the Sunday night carvery is superb. 4 meats, roasts,mash. veggies... all piping hot and home cooked. worth every penny.
A cheery hotel that serves good food and drink. They have regular guest beers, which are always worth a try. The food I have tried has been tasty and very filling. They do a range of food from lite bites to gastro pub delights and their specials board is always worth a look. The staff are welcoming and can't do enough to help. I will be returning again soon
